This weekend it was Manchester Pride and what better way to celebrate than with Doves Nest’s very own pride party! We had Drag queens, staff performances and singalongs! It was a great day enjoyed by everyone! We cant wait for the next one
We love when people come to see us and today at Yorklea, we had some furry visitors! We had lots of fun and cuddles with ‘Jinny’ and ‘Luna’ – we cant wait for them to come back!
It’s never an easy time when you or a loved one has to first move to a care home. Many people feel that they are giving up their previous lives and will become disconnected from friends and family. Our residents at Fernlea suggested getting out into the sunshine and helping our local community with our friends from Fernbees, by going on a lovely walk around the park and picking up all the litter we could find. We made the most of the sunshine and hot weather with a gorgeous barbeque. We had games, puzzles, stories and jigsaws as well as an entertainer who came in to sing to us!
