Sometimes, all it takes to brighten someone’s day is a visit from an animal friend! At Doves Nest, one of our carers was wonderful enough to bring Bob the tiny tortoise to visit our residents, and our residents at Yorklea had a surprise visit from Benji, our manager’s gorgeous King Charles Spaniel!

Last week we tried our hand at a little gardenening! The residents enjoyed getting their hands dirty and we had smiles all round!

Together with Fernbees we officially celebrated the opening of our brand new 50sqm Gym and Wellbeing Centre Fernfit today! t’s Lunar New Year! We celebrated with a delicious lunch of sweet and sour chicken, duck spring rolls, prawn crackers and fortune cookies! Residents listened to Chinese music whilst being served their Lunar New Year dinner!
As part of the Fernbees integration into Fernlea, we thought it would be a good idea to get some of our staff trained in paediatric first aid. We are thrilled to say that all of our staff passed the course and now there are plenty of paediatric first aiders on site at all times
It was national fun at work day yesterday and we had wheelchair races for both staff and residents. It was a lot of fun and a good way to work off those bacon sarnies that everyone enjoyed
