Donation at Fernlea

We have also had an amazing donation from Charlotte Decorte who’s mother Jane lived at Fernlea for 5 years, she has lovingly donated a robocat from herself and the rotary club. This cat is an interactive companion and as you can see it is already a hit with everyone here.

Penpals at Doves Nest

Today we painted Poppies for our penpal scheme at Simon House Nursery and Pre-School. We created a display to send to the children of Simon House, ahead of Remembrance Day on Thursday. Our residents loved painting the poppies and the display!

New Pavillion at Fernlea

We kicked off Bonfire night early by having marshmallows toasted on the bonfire and lots of hot chocolate with baileys, brandy, whisky….. you name it, we’ve got it. We have been inside our new pavilion which we can’t wait to utilise fully. Stay safe everyone and have a good night.

Halloween at Doves Nest

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!! We had an amazing Halloween party this weekend! We’ve spent the month making decorations, listening to spooky songs and getting ready for Halloween. We welcomed Lauren to come and sing for us and we had an amazing time eating spooky cupcakes and cookies!

Halloween at Fernlea

The Halloween bug has hit and we are having a spooky time. We are having screamfest in the cinema watching classics like The Exorcist and The Birds. We have also been pumpkin carving and painting and today we had spooky continental breakfast. We are having faboooooolous fun

Breast Cancer Awareness Day at Fernlea

On Friday Fernlea held an event for breast Cancer awareness which was organised by Colette, one of our team as it is something close to her heart. Our trip out

We have had a really nice week at Fernlea. We took our mini bus out for the first time in around 19 months and it was such a nice feeling to be able to offer the residents a trip out again. We started small as we do have to manage the risks out there still… Read more »

Penpals at Doves Nest

We started a penpal scheme at Doves Nest with Simons House Day Nursery in Oldham! As the children have been lerning about Autumn, we added some leaf printing to our letter!
