It was Sports Day at Fernlea and Fernbees yesterday! Everyone (team included) competed in the egg and spoon, sack race, and beanbag races! We even had a Balloon Volleyball tournament! This week it was Friendship Day. We asked our residents at Yorklea their advice for strong friendships and they had some lovely things to say.
Our residents at Fernlea suggested getting out into the sunshine and helping our local community with our friends from Fernbees, by going on a lovely walk around the park and picking up all the litter we could find. We made the most of the sunshine and hot weather with a gorgeous barbeque. We had games, puzzles, stories and jigsaws as well as an entertainer who came in to sing to us! We had lots of delicious food prepared by our kitchen team including an array of fruit, cakes and of course some burgers… Read more »

It has been a tradition for many of our residents at Yorklea to read a newpaper in the morning and we hold our newspaper and coffee mornings to keep up with this tradition. Sometimes its a relaxing thing to sit down and complete a puzzle. Our residents at Yorklea regularly enjoy completing their favourite puzzles together.
