We were delighted to welcome Sarah Turner from the Health Protection Team to Fernlea yesterday to present us with an award for achieving 60% staff flu vaccinations in 2024 in line with the Flu Pledge.

It was Saint Patrick’s Day This week and we painted the town green across Olea Care Group! From devouring delicious Irish treats to enjoying wonderful themed entertainment, our residents and staff had a great time!

Last week it was Shrove Tuesday and, at Fernlea, we thought the best way to celebrate (besides eating lots of pancakes of course) was to have a pancake tossing competition! Residents, staff, and children joined in for the event and we had a blast trying to get our pancakes as high as we could!
Our team are always looking for an excuse to dress up at Fernlea and Fernbees and is there really any better opportunity than World Book Day? From The Hungry Caterpillar to Miss Trunchbull we had a range of characters come to visit! We even found Wally!
