Description

Working as part of a multi-disciplined team to provide a high-quality care service to residents, as a care worker you will

• recognise the features of working in a person-centred way and why it is important to find out the history, preferences, wishes, and needs of the residents they are supporting
• provide care in accordance with best practice and legislative requirements, reflecting policies and procedures and agreed standards
• support and enable residents to maintain skills and personal interests whilst delivering person centred care unique to each individual
• maintain your skills and knowledge at an adequate level and will undertake training and assessment as required to maintain and progress your knowledge

The Ideal care assistant will:

• A friendly approach and the ability to put residents at ease, whatever their physical or social needs
• Delivery of care in a residential/Nursing setting.
• A good knowledge of basic health care and hygiene standards
• Demonstrate the ability to work in a team
• Demonstrate self-motivation and confidence
