We are looking for an enthusiastic and dedicated Room Leader to join our team at our exciting new nursery, Fernbees Day Nursery, located on the grounds of Fernlea Care Home. About the Role

As a Room Leader, you will work as part of a multi‑disciplined team to provide high‑quality childcare. You will:

• Provide frontline leadership to the nursery team
• Lead by example and act as a visible, accessible, and supportive presence for staff, children, and families
• Promote child‑centred approaches, ensuring children’s histories, preferences, wishes, and needs are understood and respected (including communicative, physical, personal, social, and emotional needs)
• Ensure childcare is delivered in line with best practice, legislative requirements, and nursery policies and procedures
• Support and enable children to develop skills, knowledge, and personal interests, promoting active participation
• Maintain your own skills and knowledge through ongoing training and development

Experience:

• Minimum 2 years’ experience working in a childcare setting (essential)

Qualifications:

• Full and relevant Level 3 qualification in Early Years (essential)
