Description

Working as part of the catering team, as a kitchen assistant you will:

• support the cook in the preparation of meals as required

• assist and undertake various kitchen duties such as ensuring cleaning schedules are adhered to

• assist in preparation and serving of all meals, in a timely manner

• liaise with care staff and residents in a polite and person centred way

What we are looking for:

• a willingness to work as part of a team to maintain the best possible environment for our residents

• a passion for ensuring that no one is discriminated against or excluded and an understanding of human rights and its impact on the services delivered to residents

• an understanding of the importance of empathy in all areas of employment, understanding the values of others and always providing a caring service

• a willingness to learn and develop skills to improve the service

• a willingness to participate in inter-disciplinary team working to support individuals.

• a dedication to meeting the needs of our residents and gathering first-hand information to use for improvements to the catering service
