We have had a wonderful Easter here at Yorklea. Making cards and painting Easter pictures. We have also had a visit from Father McMahon who came to give an Easter blessing to our lovely residents

AND THE WINNER IS… LEMON DRIZZLE!!! We had an amazing time at our Bake Off at Fernlea yesterday! Our judging panel had a tough time deciding a winner with so many delicious submissions!Cakes were available for purchase after the event and all proceeds will be donated to Stand Up To Cancer. #SU2C

We have exciting news at Fernlea Our little ducklings have hatched!! We now have 3 little duck friends for the next few days! We are still waiting to welcome two more into the world!! They are a joy for residents, staff, and children!! #springtime

We really enjoy when our Bees come over and join us here at Fernlea. This week we were joined by our Bumble Bees for a delicious lunch in our Restaurant!

Our facilities at Fernlea are designed to ensure our residents continue to enjoy all aspects of their daily lives. Our fitness and wellbeing centre ‘Fernfit’ features a host of equipment designed to focus on dexterity, reactions, and mobility.

It was World Book Day today! We had a blast at Fernlea dressing up with our friends from Fernbees as our favourite characters! For the afternoon we came together to read our favourite stories! #worldbookday

Last week, it was random acts of kindness day. We were visited at Fernlea by our little friends from Fernbees who surprised us with some lovely flowers! Of course we had to return the surprise and gave our some little gifts of our own!

We are always up for a bit of fun at Doves Nest and last week we enjoyed our Mad Hatters Tea Party! We enjoyed some delicious treats in a rather whimsical setting!

We had a very special visitor this week at Doves Nest. We were delighted to welcome the Lord Mayor of Manchester who took the time out of her busy schedule to speak to our residents and staff after a wonderful tour around our building.

Who does not love the 1920’s!! All that glamour, all that booze and all that fun.we were told our residents wanted a Great Gatsby themed New Year’s Eve party so that’s what we did, our ladies dressed as Flapper girls and our men donned their fedora style hats.
