Senior Nurse – Yorklea Care Home (Olea Care Group)

Location: Yorklea Care Home, Chorlton
Hours: Full‑time – 46 hours per week

About the Role

As Senior Nurse, you will play a key role in leading the nursing team and ensuring high‑quality, person‑centred care. You will:

  • Supervise and support the nursing and care team to deliver safe, effective and compassionate care.
  • Provide clinical expertise in managing complex cases and high‑risk situations.
  • Develop person‑centred care plans, including risk assessments and clear actions for the care team.
  • Be a visible and approachable presence for staff, residents and families.
  • Make confident decisions that consider the long‑term impact on the home and residents.
  • Handle conflict professionally and use outcomes to drive improvement.
  • Resolve difficult situations fairly, finding common ground and maintaining positive relationships.
  • Work collaboratively with internal and external professionals.
  • Uphold the NMC Code of Professional Conduct at all times.

What We’re Looking For

  • Ability to safely receive, store, administer and dispose of medications and controlled drugs.
  • Strong analytical and prioritisation skills.
  • Confidence in processing and recording clinical information accurately.
  • Experience working within an inter‑disciplinary team.
  • A genuine commitment to improving resident experience and care quality.
  • Ability to build positive relationships with residents, families, staff and external partners.
  • A team‑focused approach, encouraging cooperation and accountability.

Qualifications

  • NMC registration (required)
  • Senior nursing experience desirable but not essential

All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and excellent references.
