Role Description:

As a care assistant with Olea Care you will be expected to:

  • To deliver hands on care to residents in a person centred way while assist clients with personal care tasks.
  • Assist in the safe lifting, transferring, re-positioning and movement of clients.
  • Observe, monitor and record clients’ physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff.
  • Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life and encourage participate in social and recreational activities.
  • Exemplify our Philosophy of Care
  • Act in accordance with the General Social Care Councils Code of Conduct
  • Promote the good reputation of the home at all times.
  • Carry out all duties in a safe manner showing regard to the health, safety and welfare of self, colleagues, patients and visitors to the home.

The Ideal care assistant will:

  • A friendly approach and the ability to put residents at ease, whatever their physical or social needs
  • Delivery of care in a residential/Nursing setting.
  • A good knowledge of basic health care and hygiene standards
  • Demonstrate the ability to work in a team
  • Demonstrate self-motivation and confidence

Experience:

  • Care work in a residential setting : 1 year (Preferred)
