Our hydrotherapy system

Hydrotherapy bathing system

Hydromassage enhances the therapeutic and relaxing effects of bathing and provides a pleasant experience for our residents.

The hydromassage bathing system creates millions of small bubbles and agitation in the water which increases stimulation of peripheral blood circulation and creates a deep heat effect which reduces pain and inflammation.

Doves Nest - Sensory environment

Multi-sensory environment

One of the our most exciting features is the multi-sensory interactive environment and dedicated sensory room.

This dedicated, relaxing and interactive room allows us to stimulate the users’ senses – encouraging responses to light, music and touch which are highly motivating factors in encouraging active participation.

Doves Nest - Sensory Garden

A room with a view

The large gardens at the rear of the home enjoy woodland surroundings and views over the local lake. Our rooms leading to the gardens have private access through patio doors. Surrounded by large mature trees, there is a large open lawn area and large patio areas. With raised flower beds and specially selected plants and water features, our sensory garden allows residents to explore their senses through nature.

Doves Nest Development – Update

After a long period of planning and negotiation, the commencement date for the redevelopment of Doves Nest has been set for the 18th June. The site will be marked and blocked off from the 2nd June and therefore, the area that is currently Windsor House will be unaccessible in order for the building contractors to secure the site and ensure minimal impact upon the existing service. The new extension will provide high-quality new facilities including 19 bedrooms, seating areas, lounge areas and dining area, and the existing ‘horse-shoe’ will be demolished to allow for a new 16-space parking... read more

Doves Nest Development

After 4 years of planning/appeal and negotiation, we are hopeful that the redevelopment of Doves Nest will commence in early 2018. The re-development will see Doves Nest be extended from 36 to 50 large high-quality rooms. A new extension will provide 19 new high-quality rooms with showering facilities, an impressive entrance that provides a better visible cue to the quality of the accommodation and service and leads to the new reception area, a new lounge and dining room to the lower ground floor, several smaller seating areas, one of which will have access to a raised decked area looking out over the gardens, and a new clinic room, laundry and managers office. The existing “horse-shoe” area will be demolished to give way to a new 16 place car park and the existing reception will be completely refurbished to provide new high-quality accommodation.... read more
