As a care assistant you will be expected to:

To deliver hands on care to residents in a person cantered way while assist clients with personal care tasks.
Assist in the safe lifting, transferring, re-positioning and movement of clients.
Support residents to enjoy a good quality of life and encourage participate in social and recreational activities.
Exemplify our Philosophy of Care
Act in accordance with the General Social Care Councils Code of Conduct
Promote the good reputation of the home at all times.
Observe, monitor and record clients’ physical and emotional well-being, and promptly report any changes to senior staff.
Carry out all duties in a safe manner showing regard to the health, safety and welfare of self, colleagues, patients and visitors to the home
The Ideal care assistant will:

A friendly approach and the ability to put residents at ease, whatever their physical or social needs
Delivery of care in a residential/Nursing setting.
A good knowledge of basic health care and hygiene standards
Demonstrate the ability to work in a team
Demonstrate self-motivation and confidence
