Reval chosen as preferred supplier of bathing equipment at Fernlea

We are delighted to announce that Reval Continuing Care Ltd have been chosen as our preferred supplier of bathing equipment, manual handling hoists and overhead tracking hoists for our new development in Hazel Grove and across the group. The Cocoon bathing systems to be fitted in Fernlea (Hazel Grove) have been cleverly developed to meet the ever demanding needs of high dependency care. Reval identified the need for two different tub designs. The “Ergo” was developed so that a resident can be positioned directly into the bath without the need to be managed on a seat or stretcher hoist. The ergonomically shaped floor of the bath allows a resident to lie in the bath in comfort and without the risk of sheering forward. Providing excellent posture management, it is designed to be used in conjunction ceiling track and conventional mobile hoists and slings. The Reval “Key” concept is a spacious design resembling a keyhole. Ergonomically shaped the keyhole shape allows a resident to immerse and relax, offering more space for the upper body. The tub has deeper side walls and flatter slopped floor in comparison to that of the Ergo. This provides a secure and comfortable space and deeper bath of water when required. The design also provides more working space for care workers making bathing tasks more user friendly. Our Cocoon tubs will also be Hydro-spa and Aroma-spa equipped which will transform the bath into a unique bathing experience for our residents and will lead to many improved outcomes.
